The picture kinda explains my world for now. I see the doctor tomorrow. Love you all!

My dear precious friends and family … it’s me. I think I have about 10 minutes til the painkillers take me away, so I wanted to write and say thank you! God has been so amazingly gracious through all this. He an answered prayers above and beyond what I’d hoped. My hospital staff was wonderful –[ except 1 nurse] 😉 The personal touches throughout the process were tangible reminders He was with me.
Also, I try not to say this too much because he’s modest, but my husband is the kindest, most caring man in the world. I am so blessed to have him. The reason we could come home so quickly was because he was willing to do all that yucky hospital stuff himself. But it’s been so good to be home.
The pain is great (and I’m not surprised). So my counsel has been to stay medicated … and I am. I guess I can be rather funny to chat with. But this too shall pass.
We are waiting on final pathology report on lymph nodes, but they only took 2 – praise!!! But that’s just one of the ways God has been near and dear. I am so blessed and God has been so amazingly good to me. Thank you for praying. Please don’t stop yet.
Guess the painkillers are winning. Time to fade away again. My love to you all.
This is Kate posting for Mom again. She came through surgery great. As expected, the surgery took 7 hrs total. Dad stayed with her in the hospital last night, and she was released around 11 this morning-which is a huge praise. She’s still very sore and will take some time to heal- but doctors thought she was up and well enough to go home. Mom and Dad are now settling in and trying to get some rest, since they didn’t sleep too much at the hospital. Please just keep praying for her recovery– for no further infections/complications and for rest for both of them.
This is Kate posting for Mom. Mom is done with surgery and in recovery. It was a 7 hr surgery as planned, and every phase went well. As of the last I heard, they believe the sentinel nodes were free of any other cancer (huge praise!), so they’ll just be in the hospital for another day or so… just trying to rest and heal. Thanks for all the prayers and support!
Psalm 136:1 O give thanks unto the LORD, for He is good, for His mercy endureth for ever. What peace it is to know that my Heavenly Father is in control and that He loves me. His presence has been such a comfort. Thank you for your prayers.
Please pray about the IV – I know it’s odd, and when I had my hysterectomy in August we only had to try twice! Yay! But a surgery I had before that 2 years back took 9 tries! I don’t like IV’s (I know, no one does). But it always makes me nervous. Thanks!
SURGERY in ON for Friday morning, November 25th. Please pray much! Thanks.
